Some STD's, such as herpes simplex, can take a very long time to show symptoms, so I wouldnt rule that out completely. It does sound like a shaving problem though. Also, you could have a bacterial infection, such as bacterial vaginosis, a very common issue in most women. This could cause the dryness that you are talking about.
