How to get rid of swollen ear?

I've had my rook pierced for about 9 months now. And the other day i took it out to clean it & i put it back it. Then couple days later, my ear puffed up & is now swollen. Its also very itchy, red, and feels dry and scaly. I started the sea salt soaks today but I feel like its not doing anything. And i took out the ring. Somebody HELP ME PLEASE !!!!!!!
