I am curious if you think that it is possible that God said everything that needed said to humankind in the books of the Bible or do you think that he might still be "speaking" to people in this day and age? Men physically wrote the Bible so it is hard to believe that they didn't put it into the context of the knowledge/customs of the people at that time period. My understanding is that some books of the Bible were rewritten, excluded, and probably modified to some extent at some point in history, or am I wrong about that? So the real question is do you think that God would stop speaking to us because I would think that God would want us to understand the message rather than hang on the exact words that ultimately were the work of a flawed human understanding of the message. Why aren't there prophets anymore? Does anyone else think that it possible that as humans have advanced in science and our understanding of the universe that God's message to us right now might differ from the message that was delivered to man all those years ago. An example is "be fruitful and multiply" which would make sence in ancient times where the world didn't have 6 billion people. My cat is 4 years old. A few months back we noticed she had very scabby, scaly skin. It looked like a sort of dandruff, but she had it all over her body and her fur was falling out in clumps. What is wrong with my puppy?? Itching problem??? Please give advice.?

Okay, so I have a German Shepherd pup hes about 6-8 months old, we got him around February when he was 4 months, hes been to the vet once for puppy shots, and another because he ate socks and been throwing them up but he stopped throwing up once the vet gave him medicine. He hasn't been to the vet in about 3 months and he has had this REALLY bad itching problem kinda by where his "thing" is, its very red like somethings wrong, bumpy big zits, scaly, and dry. He cries a lot and I think its because of it but I'm not sure if German Shepherds cry all the time or what. He bites at it and itches it at least every 3 minutes he chews on it very hard and his balls itch too. I don't think he has any fleas I have checked him a few times and theres no signs but he does itch a lot everywhere else too. He eats weird things like stuffed animal eyes and noses, socks, buttons, 1 tiny screw (attached to the stuffed animals eye) anything he can find that looks like something he can eat. I don't give him the toys he just takes them randomly out of my and everyones room. He does have toys but does not play with them very much he likes to play with stuff thats not his. I know its not healthy but by the time I catch him eating it he has already swallowed it, like today he ate a nose, and eyes off of a stuff animal and screws that were attached to the eyes. Whats happening to him?? Can it be because hes been eating that stuff??? He eats three times a day two cups and fresh water everyday. We just moved (we have rocks in our backyard, grass in the front) and it seems like it has gotten worse, I know animals can only get fleas from grass. I don't think there are any fleas here I haven't felt any biting on me or anything. He still acts normal he still plays and eats but he always itches and bites at that area. Can it be an allergic reaction?? Or what??? Please let me know it will mean so much. Thank you.

My hypothyroidism was very tricky. I even had a test come back normal even though my levels were crazy. I'd say either find a new doctor (because yours doesn't seem very good) or contact and endocrinologist. I was convinced I had hypothyroidism even though people didn't believe me! So after you find a decent doctor you'll probably be wondering about medication. I have to take one pill a day and have regular blood tests to check my levels. Its really not as difficult to treat as it is to diagnose! Until then just take things one step at a time :)

Skin irritation problem?

For the past few months I have had a patch of skin on my back that is tender and feels like it's constantly burning, although to look at there was no distinctive marking or redness. In artifical light I cannot see anything at all but in real light I have noticed very small red blotches in certain areas of my back but not actually in the area where it burns. It's really hard to examine your own back but from what I can see there is nothing there that warrants the pain and burning sensation I am feeling. Does anyone have any idea of what this could be? I have noticed that my skin has a very dry, scaly or leathery texture to it but not at any noticeable extreme, just close up the skin appears dry all over. I am going to my doctor this week, but she can be quite dismissive so I had wanted to get some suggestions for possible reasons before I went?

Hi! I bought a guinea from a mom and pop pet store that treats their piggies relatively well last Monday. The lady I usually get them from now lives too far away, that's why we went there. Anyways, I had her out and I thought I noticed two little yellowish bugs moving through her fur. Only two. We called the pet store, and they treated her for lice AND mites. Yesterday, we combed her out with a nit brush and looked allllll over and we found not even one louse. I looked again today and also found none. She does not seem to be itching very often either. However, my concern now it this little patch near her rump that has had these little itty bitty flecks o white on it. They are only in this one area, and they are at the very base of her fur. I notices when i itched I developed tiny bug bite looking marks. now the itching has decreased but I have developed these weird marks on different parts on my body. they appear to be dry skin patches ( red, raised, scaly) but I have them everywhere: two on my stomach, two on my thighs, one on my cheek and one on my neck. is there a name for this rash or do you think its just dry skin? I originally thought I was having an allergy to my prenatal, but then I switched to generic and the rashes persist...thanks! I need lots of advise, first time mother here!

I have a scaly patch of skin on my forearm. One Dr. prescribed me an antifungal, Lamasil. That didn't work. He retired so I saw a new Dr. and she prescribed nothing! 4mth baby - rash on face?

Attrite and Rewrite? (Navy)?

I joined the Navy DEP in pursuit of a Challenge contract. The only way to get a challenge contract is to DEP into the Navy and choose a rate and then you meet with a Motivator/Mentor who will administer the PST and evaluate you to determine whether or not to grant you a Challenge contract. To this point, I have been unsuccessful in meeting the requirements on the running portion of the PST due to shin splints caused by my own lack of running knowledge. I tried pushing too far/too quickly and have payed the price but am recovering and feel I have learned a valuable lesson. My recruiter told me I do not have enough time left in DEP to get a Challenge contract anymore and that my best option to get into the training pipeline of the rate I am after would be to just go to RTC with the rate I signed up for and go to A school and eventually try and request orders to my desired ratings pipeline. If thats my only option, then so be it. But an alternative has been mentioned to me by a few others to try and Attrite and Re-write due to the fact that I don't want to do the rating I am signed up for (the only reason I signed for the rate was because the system in place calls for a recruit to sign for any rate and DEP in before an opportunity to get a challenge contract). They said the chances of getting into the pipeline I want once I am already doing another job is very slim because there are so many people joining the Navy now. So i guess my question is, before I bring this up to my recruiter, is an attrite and re-write something they actually do to buy more time? I just got my 2nd ear lobe piercing like 3 days ago, and it still hurts and is a little swollen around each piercing, but no more than you would expect. Does my guinea pig have lice or mites? ?

Hi! I bought a guinea from a mom and pop pet store that treats their piggies relatively well last Monday. The lady I usually get them from now lives too far away, that's why we went there. Anyways, I had her out and I thought I noticed two little yellowish bugs moving through her fur. Only two. We called the pet store, and they treated her for lice AND mites. Yesterday, we combed her out with a nit brush and looked allllll over and we found not even one louse. I looked again today and also found none. She does not seem to be itching very often either. However, my concern now it this little patch near her rump that has had these little itty bitty flecks o white on it. They are only in this one area, and they are at the very base of her fur. My mom described it as a scaly patch of skin. She has had these since last Monday, if they were ggs wouldn't they have hatched by now? Do you think she has lice? Also i don't recommend getting it on your wrist just because it's hard to hide and i think if you're going to get a tattoo, you should be able to cover it but that's just me. Also since you're getting some sort of text, the tattoo might have to be bigger than what you originally planned (that happened to me). You can sit the tanks by the window to allow some sun light at this time unless they're too heavy. Eczema behind my child's ears - is she stressed?

Yes I am but i don't like the changes that have taken place over the years. Beautiful old houses torn down and soulless estates erected on the land. Hospitals and schools either converted into posh apartments or left boarded up to be vandalised whilst the council argues about what is to happen to them. It is not really a town but a London borough but as each borough has it's own little `town' I suppose it could be called a town.

My Chicken can't walk Help!?

I have a hen who is between 6-8 years old.This morning we noticed that she won't use her left leg she lies on her right side so that no pressure is on her left side.We only have 3 other full sized chickens all the rest are Bantams.She tries to walk/hop ,but she keeps falling on her face.She has always had scaly legs,but I don't think it is mites(we have treated her for it multiple times before,and it doesn't change)There is no vet around here that will look at a chicken,so don't suggest that. Should we separate her from the other chickens?

Penis skin and scaring?

In about March 2010 after masturbating and then sleeping without washing the next day I had developed white patches on my penis head (glans). Will my tattoo turn out ok?

I got my first tattoo yesterday, and when he transferred the outline from the paper to my arm, he didn't like the positioning and asked me to scrub it off. Well, when the ink wouldn't come off, I grabbed a clean scotch brite pad, like a moron, and scrubbed it off along with some skin. I was in a hurry and didn't think things through, so my arm was very raw when he did the tat. This morning when I woke up, it looks like I've got road rash on my arm. The tattoo looks fine, other than becoming dry and looks scaly from being dry. I've been putting a good amount of Lubriderm (unscented) on it, and it stings like hell, but that's from the road rash.. I was just curious if the road rash will affect the way the tattoo is going to turn out. Im 17 and paid my dad's friend to do it. Very professional, no prison looking stuff. I asked my dad and he said it wouldn't but hes only got a few little tats. Now ive got more ink on one arm than he does on his entire body. I noticed these the other day. I've seen her scratch at them just a couple times....but they look dry and scaly. Tiny blisters on bottom of toes?

I have these tiny blisters on the bottom of my feet, mainly under my toes. They dont itch and i dont have any skin peeling off my feet. They only hurt if i step where the blister is. Also, on my right foot, there is this little section where the skin seems almost scaly like? I dont know how else to describe it. Is my 18month old baby allergic to something in his bath water?

My son has always had sensitive skin around his bottom and I have had to change his brand of nappy and wipes before in the past, as well as his baby bath and moisturiser. It's never the whole area of his bottom just patches and it feels dry and a bit scaly to touch. It's red and feels slightly raised. He has been to the doctors before and has been given hydrocortisone cream which did eventually take the patches away but this took about a week. But even when he hasn't had the red patches on his bottom, when he gets in his bath after been in for a few minutes patches appear and he starts to really scratch leaving really red marks. When he gets out of the bath the itching and patches disappear after about 20 minutes to half an hour. I don't use anything in the bath. Can anyone help?

To start with this is a re post but it is also being rewritten. please note my body has always done weird things. right now my back hurts, i am craving everything and i am SO tired its not even funny. i have been chasing after a four year old (bff's little bro) constantly but that doesn't normally have this effect on me. i have allergies but they were never things like this, they made my throat itch and stuff most of the time. obviously i am not pregnant because i am a virgin. could it just be the extra running around that makes all of it go wrong at once? btw i have a regular period and an ovarian cyst right now but its just a normal thing for me. i am 13 if i haven't said that yet.
